Buffalo Area Public Transit System


     BATS Buffalo Area Public Transit System operates out of the Buffalo Senior Center. Transportation is available Monday through Friday, and Sunday during the hours of operation of the Buffalo Senior Center. Open space fills up quickly. For bus service please call for an appointment as soon as possible.

     The hours are 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Sunday. Two of the buses are wheelchair equipped. Rides are $1 one-way within the city limits of Buffalo and $2 one-way up to five miles out of town.

     All dogs, cats and other pets MUST BE in an animal carrier crate to ride on the buses. The ONLY exceptions are service animals.

     The BATS bus is available to anyone regardless of age. Out of town trips to Sheridan are available Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and leave at 7:30 a.m. and returns to Buffalo at 2 p.m. Round trip transportation fees to Sheridan are $10. 

     Rides to Casper are available the second Tuesday of each month. Round trip transportation fees to Casper are $25. The bus will leave Buffalo at 7:30 a.m. and leave Casper at 3:30 and return to Buffalo by 5 p.m.

     To reserve a space on the Sheridan or Casper trips call the Buffalo Senior Center at 684-9551 one day prior to the trip. The Wyoming Department of Transportation is the sponsoring agency for the Buffalo Area Public Transit System.
